In Today’s Worship we celebrate Christ’s Ascension. Jesus’ Ascension into heaven was more than just a relocation. Jesus “went up” as a soldier “ascends” through the ranks to become a general, as a prince “mounts” the throne to become king, as a third-grader “goes up” from elementary school to middle school. Jesus is above ALL. He gained His authority by suffering and defeating sin, death, and the devil. He is “above” and has the power to do something about any trouble or disease we face. And He is able to walk with you and guide you throughout your life. Jesus is Lord!
